Become part of a lean and mean design team within our fast-growing company. You’ll be working on our flagship Hotels.com website that helps a quarter of a million people every day book hotels for business and pleasure.

A solid pillar of the Hotels.com user experience team, the Web Developer will author user interface design solutions - presentation layer code and assets - HTML / CSS / JavaScript / JSP.



Key Areas Of Responsibility:

Translate functional and UI specifications into blazing hot XHTML, CSS and JavaScript using modern techniques
Optimize, extract and occasionally create bitmap and vector artwork
Contribute to requirements and functional specifications
Build low to high fidelity prototypes for design research
Continuously improve the user interface using customer insight with the aim of increasing customer reach, conversion and brand loyalty
Track and report status and risks to project stakeholders and proactively escalate issues when appropriate. Fix bugs to existing features
Produce estimates for future tasks and projects
Maintain best practice in platform testing, HTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScript coding (including use of libraries), SEO optimization as it relates to front-end mark-up and accessibility
Contribute to advancing the team’s design methodology and programming practices focusing on quality, client-side performance and efficiency.
